I first entered the industry as a fresh graduate from NTU back in 2020 amidst the Covid-19 Circuit-Breaker period. Growing up, I’ve always felt bad about myself for not knowing exactly what I wanted to do in life and as a career. Even leading up to graduation, the path ahead was still unclear to me. This was until I was introduced to the financial advisory business at AIA FA and in AAG, where I found purpose in educating my loved ones and peers on the importance of financial literacy.

A fulfilling career
I chose this career for the fulfilment and satisfaction that the career brings, knowing that I am able to positively impact the lives around me. This career not only provides us with a platform to improve the lives of the people around us, but it also allows so much personal growth for us as individuals.

The gestures that matter
Nothing motivates me more than receiving words of affirmation and appreciation from my clients.

Have heart
In this line of work, I believe it’s important for every financial consultant to have heart, in order to touch the lives of the people around them. It’s also crucial for someone to be hardworking and dedicated, as it’s not an easy career path either.

Before meeting Amanda, I was always very sceptical about meeting other FAs because I always thought that they were very intimidating. But after having met Amanda, it was clear that she was not trying to sell me policies for the sake of a sale but because it would genuinely meet my needs.
