I was introduced to the financial advisory industry by my brother, Louis, who has been in the business for 4 years. Back then, I was still an undergraduate at Singapore Management University majoring in marketing. Inspired by my brother’s journey, I started my career as a student advisor last year.

I initially wanted to join this career because I felt inadequate, and wanted to grow as much as I can in a prosperous environment. Since joining, my reasons are still founded on personal mastery and self-improvement, but no longer to make up for my inadequacy. Rather, I do it for the growth that I can then pass on to the people I love — my family, colleagues, friends and clients.

In doing so, I am able to build trust with my mastery of people skills along with my own financial competencies in managing portfolios. For example, because I was able to provide for my mum and bring about elevated experiences in her life, she can look to me as a dependable figure.

I believe with the right heart and environment, everyone stands a chance to succeed. With the right attitude and proper guidance, we can pave our way towards growing into unimaginably strong and wise people.
