I graduated with a double degree in Business and Accountancy, both were 1st class honours and on the Dean’s List. I have a keen interest in music and am a violinist, guitarist, pianist, and drummer, as well as a husband to my awesome wife.

My accolades include being named Top Rookie, an International Dragon Award (IDA) awardee and a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).

Getting motivation from clients’ affirmation.

The affirmation from my clients is one of the key drivers that keep me motivated. I derive satisfaction from my ability to encourage clients to take action on something that they initially do not see themselves doing. Being the most sought after financial consultant when it comes to product knowledge in the agency is also something that keeps me motivated to continue doing my best.

Playing a multi-faceted role.

Besides providing sound financial advice to my clients, I also act as my clients’ motivator, problem solver, networker and even musician! I provide my clients with encouragement and strive to help solve any problems they may face, as well as providing resources they might need from my extensive network too. My analytical skills and ability to comprehend complex things quickly and retain knowledge also help me fulfil these roles as a financial consultant.

Financial advisory has shifted beyond just relationship selling.

As information is much more readily available nowadays, prospects are able to read up plenty of information online and even compare products. Therefore to be valuable means to know more than them, or to be able to point them in the right direction as they seek out such information online.

Watching my career decisions pay off.

Being named Top Rookie when I entered this industry remains one of my proudest achievements. It was a memorable moment as I had plenty of offers from big financial institutions then, and to do well in my chosen career is to attest to the big decision that I made to join. My ability to memorise BIPS from nearly all other companies, and then simplify the differences to digestible information for prospects to understand, helped greatly in my journey to earning this recognition.
