I joined the financial advisory industry with AIA in September 2019 and was promoted to Associate Director in August 2023. This career path was introduced to me during a casual coffee catch-up with a polytechnic friend while I was interning with RHB Bank. Inspired by the growth and success he had achieved, and the profound impact he was making on his clients’ lives, I was drawn to the opportunity to make a significant difference while also striving for personal and financial growth.

Despite my introverted nature and the fresh challenge of transitioning from a student to a demanding and competitive field, I embraced this path wholeheartedly. The decision was driven by a desire not to settle for mediocrity, whether it is for myself or my family. The supportive and enriching environment at Honeybees played a crucial role in my development, where the culture of paying it forward is deeply ingrained.

My career’s most rewarding moment came in 2020 when I achieved my first Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). This wasn’t just a personal triumph but a significant professional milestone that affirmed the hard work and sacrifices made along the way. It was particularly fulfilling to receive recognition not only from the industry but also from my loved ones — my partner, family, and friends — who have been incredibly supportive throughout my journey.

Looking forward, my greatest ambition is to foster a team of consultants who are not just effective in their roles but are also advocates of the Honeybees culture — emphasising personal growth, integrity, and the welfare of their clients. The ethos of Honeybees, “因为有你，大家会更好” (Because of you, everyone improves), resonates deeply with me, and I am committed to nurturing a new generation of financial consultants who embody these values.
