I was formerly a trained nurse specialising in reconstructive surgery and ophthalmology. I decided to be a financial consultant 8 years ago as it was my fiancé’s dying wish for me to take care of all his client’s portfolios. I was truly moved and touched, witnessing his utmost love, dedication and sincerity for his clients as a financial consultant even on his deathbed.
Do the right thing, even if no one is watching.
The core values that my fiancé possessed still strongly resonate within me, and they are an integral part of the way I go about doing my daily honest job. We need to be financial consultants who go all out in meeting the needs and concerns of our clients, valuing the trust placed in us even when no one is watching.
Empathy is what will take you far.
My personal motto is love is patient, love is kind. In whatever that we do, especially in dealing with people, they must be able to sense the love, patience and kindness that can only come from an empathetic heart. My previous profession as a nurse not only helped me apply the medical knowledge I had, but I was also able to explain medical conditions and plan financial solutions for clients with greater detail, clarity and understanding and at the same time be empathetic to their needs but yet meet their financial goals.
Far from being done
I receive immense satisfaction from my job by being there for my clients and managing their portfolios well. It also brings me great joy when I see them achieve their desired retirement goals with peace of mind with coverages in place, Ultimately, I wish to eventually achieve Top of the Table in my career, scaling new heights and milestones in the finance industry as well as build a strong team and be successful like my organisation’s founder.
