I majored in Economics at the National University of Singapore (NUS), with a second major in Business Management. During my university days, I was active as an NUS Ambassador. In 2013, I explored financial advisory through an internship with Advisors Alliance Group. I also worked in the private sector with a private equity firm, Partners Group, as well as in the public sector with the Land Transport Authority (Economics Unit). It was during my time in public service with the LTA that I decided to work in an area of service to people, so I became a full-time financial consultant in 2016.
Family plays a big part in my career choices.
My family went through financial hardship when I was younger and being able to provide well for my family is one of the key drivers that keep me motivated as a financial consultant. My family certainly plays a huge part in my chosen career as my dad is also a direct beneficiary of life insurance.
Fostering relationships with clients.
I am also motivated by the immense sense of satisfaction when I help my friends and clients build toward their goals and aspirations. Over the years, I get the opportunity to develop deeper and more meaningful relationships with each of my clients besides being their financial consultant. As the business grows, I also get referred to more people from all walks of life. Through the network I have established, I also help the clients connect with others from all walks of life for their personal or business needs. It is extremely fulfilling for me to be able to journey with them through their life milestones.
A relationship based on trust.
I always believe that the foundation of the relationship between a financial consultant and a client is one built on trust. By truly understanding my clients’ needs and perspectives, I can give them the peace of mind that their goals and aspirations are well taken care of. They will know the proposed planning is in their best interest, which will give them the confidence to continually plan for their future whenever their needs arise.
Assuring clients that they are in good hands.
Achieving the MDRT is one of my proudest accolades. I take pride in being able to let my friends and clients know that I am among the top 5% of personnel in the industry worldwide. The award embodies the passion and dedication that I put into my career, and they can feel it from our meetings and reviews. I hope the awards allow them to feel assured, and that they are in my good hands.
