I became a financial consultant when I just graduated from university. I knew of AAG when I was a part-time personal assistant to another financial consultant in the agency during school. From there, I was exposed to the culture, systems, values, and people in AAG. There were many uplifting individuals whom I met during my time there, and I liked the environment that promotes transparency and openness. I was also intrigued by the topic of personal finance and proper financial planning and decided to take the leap of faith!
Everyone deserves proper financial planning
I chose to be a financial consultant because I was a beneficiary of insurance at a young age and also witnessed my loved ones fall into the trap of poor financial planning due to unethical practices. I strongly believe that financial management should not be like a russian roulette game for consumers.
A people’s business
I keep myself motivated through the relationships that I’ve forged with my clients, as well as the newly-made friendships. It’s also a career that provides many opportunities for me to have personal growth. My most rewarding memory was when I was able to quickly provide reassurance and assistance to my client. He was anxious about his piling finances, but I was confident he could get the maximum benefits at a lower cost with the
portfolio I restructured. It was rewarding seeing how comfortable and at ease he is.
A kind heart is what will allow all financial consultants to succeed, because what we do can impact people to a large extent, positively or adversely. It’s important we have the heart to do the right things.
