My foray into the financial industry as a former engineer stemmed from me witnessing family members going through poor health and financial planning since I was young, which led me to realise the importance of financial planning.

8 years into the financial advisory business, I have achieved Million Dollar Round Table memberships and International Dragon Awards (“IDA”) – Bronze Dragon Award for 2 consecutive years in 2019 and 2020. I was also part of Singapore’s first 100 IDA team in history to achieve the 100 IDA Team Award 2019. I am a member of the AIA Financial Advisers Prestige Platinum Club 2020 and has been awarded the title as Personal Wealth Manager of AIA High Net Worth Prestige Club 2020. I am also an Associate Financial Consultant.

Financial consulting is a “personal” job.

You need to always demonstrate the genuine human touch in showing our care for others, and that should be the cornerstone of every financial consultant. Aside from being honest and transparent in your work, you must also display compassion.

As a financial consultant, I believe we are in a position where we can genuinely make a positive impact to more than thousands of lives, and this is something that I strive to achieve throughout the course of my career.

We must always remember that we are humans helping fellow humans, and we should always put your competency to good use and serve our clients’ best interests. Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you.
