Formerly a media designer with an ambition to bring his clients ideas to life through his works, Randy joined the financial advisory industry in March 2006 to designs better lives for people through helping them achieve clarity in their life goals and using wealth strategies to support these goals. With a strong conviction on how purposeful the business is and how much positive impact financial advisory can have on peoples’ lives, he became a leader in order to mentor others with the goal to raise practice standards and make the profession one that is admired and respected.

Among his many leadership inspirations, one that stands out for Randy is to lead by example. Albert Schweitzer said, “Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it is the only thing.” This strongly resonates with Randy’s philosophy as a leader as he believes being an example is not about just tangible results, but also in how one embodies values such as integrity and compassion.

To Randy, leadership is also about seeing the potential in others when they cannot see it for themselves, so he sees his role as to provide a nurturing culture where potential can be realised. One of his many essential traits as a leader is his ability to really listen. It is not easily apparent to discover what people really mean when they speak unless one truly listens; so being able to listen, and more importantly, being able to understand and discover someone’s latent needs and what truly matters to them is what propels Randy’s ability to lead.

A believer in the ethos that the true hallmark of leadership is in the empowerment of others, Randy focuses on empowering his associates to become the best versions of themselves, and their success is where he finds true fulfilment as a leader.
