I began my career as a financial consultant in 2009 through an internship with Advisors Alliance Group (AAG), while I was still pursuing my economics degree at the National University of Singapore. I became a leader in 2014 and have groomed many successful financial consultants as well as directors since. Today, I am one of the youngest executive directors in AAG. It has been a meaningful journey so far, and I am privileged and very grateful for all the mentorship and love that I have received.
Records will always be broken. Trophies will always end up in the trash bin.
But the caring, giving, and sharing that we do will always stay in the minds of our clients. Always remember that financial planning is for the client, never for your profits.
Great blessings are a result of great perseverance. The hard struggle is to be welcomed, never feared. Give your full 100 per cent effort to prepare and perform at the highest level of your ability.
No longer just a “sales job”.
Gone are the days when being a financial consultant meant being in a sales job. The fundamental principles of love and compassion, and of drive and enterprise has never changed and, I suspect, never will. But it is increasingly critical to be nimble and always quick to adapt to new technologies and new ways of conducting the business.
