I used to work in the media industry for about 1.5 years as a content producer. I felt comfortable until my friend introduced me to this industry. After exploring the financial advisory industry, I realised that this is the career that can constantly push me to do better as a person and at the same time serve the community that I’m in. It also provides me with the time flexibility I need, so in December 2021, I decided to join AIA FA and pursue this as my lifelong career.

The most rewarding moment in my career so far is when I get to reconnect with my old friends and colleagues through financial advisory and becoming not just their close friends but their trusted family financial consultant.

I am motivated when I am surrounded by like-minded peers who constantly challenge me to my limits and have breakthroughs together. My biggest influence is the friend who introduced me to financial advisory. She is very driven and knows exactly what she wants to achieve and never gives up easily. She is also very kindhearted and always motivates me to be a better person.

Being a FC has given me more meaning to life and at the same time I have also been given many opportunities that I never thought I could have, especially at this stage in my life. I have also learnt perseverance is key. There will be ups and downs in this career and perseverance is the most important thing we must have to keep us going and growing.
