I began my career at AIA in 2003 and progressed through various roles before being promoted to Director in 2023. I initially moved up to FSAD, a director-equivalent position, in 2020. I started as a Student Advisor while pursuing my degree at NTU, drawn to the profession by a strong desire to assist individuals in managing their financial risks and ensuring their long-term welfare. My commitment stems from a sense of duty to provide for my clients comprehensively once they place their trust in me.

The most memorable highlight of my career was attending my first AIA convention in Rome, Italy, in 2011. This incentive trip not only marked my first travel experience with AIA but also allowed me to enjoy a fantastic holiday in Europe, showcasing the perks of our career.

My clients’ success with the products and services I recommend keeps me motivated. Over my two decades as a Financial Consultant, I have witnessed first-hand how proper financial planning can prevent financial catastrophe for families, which continues to drive my passion in this field.

In my opinion, the most critical traits an FC should possess are a passion for serving clients and grit. These qualities ensure dedication to client welfare and the resilience needed to thrive in this demanding field. I advise new entrants to focus initially on the potential rewards and income. However, the true essence of this career lies in giving back to clients through thoughtful, beneficial financial products. We are fundamentally in a service industry, making significant impacts on our clients’ lives.
