Since joining AIAFA in 2019, I have truly loved every moment of being a dedicated financial consultant. The last 5 years. My work is very important to me and I take great pride in it. I believe that with sincerity and generosity, I can help change people’s negative perceptions of financial consultants.

Before graduating with BCS(Hons) in Business Management in late 2019, I took on a part-time administrative job at a financial advisory company. Growing up, my parents never believed in having insurance, so I had little knowledge of the industry. While working at the financial advisory company, I witnessed firsthand how much people can benefit from insurance claims. As a result, I opened my heart to the industry and pursued various internships and part-time roles to familiarise myself with the role and learn more.

The most rewarding aspect of this career would be the bonds I form with the people I meet. I hold the relationships I form with my clients dear to me, valuing each one as irreplaceable and precious. It brings me great joy to reconnect with old friends and catch up on all that has transpired between us, while also building new friendships with those I meet along the way. I see myself as more than just a financial consultant to my clients. I want to be their friend, a sister to them, and their pillar of support whenever they need me.

I have and will always stick by this quote “Be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people”. Be kind, have courage, and stay true. These are the ways one can find fulfilment and success in this career path.

Initially it began with me wanting to have a FA that is around the same age as me (bad experience with aunties). prior to having you as a FA, I knew that you’re a very jovial and approachable person, which are traits that a FA should possess, other than being efficient and capable in what they do (which you are too!) no regrets about staying with you 🙂
