I used to be in banking sales for more than 3 years where I assisted in account openings, credit card sales and loan applications. It was a sales role, and my job often felt repetitive. After I achieved Champions’ Forum during my last year with the bank, I realised it was time for me to move on. I was searching for a role in the same industry until I chanced upon AIA FA where I believed it was a place where I’d be able to grow into a better and stronger person. To date, I’m glad I made the decision to be here.

Learning different perspectives.
Being a financial consultant has exposed me to a lot of opportunities where I meet great people, and it has allowed me to look at things from many different perspectives. As I’ve progressed in my career, I’ve found myself becoming better at active listening and displaying empathy.

We’re here to reduce risk.
In our role, it’s important to educate people about managing their finances and the importance of getting insured. Risk mitigation is essential when the cost of not being insured can be catastrophic. You’ll never realise how much you need it until you do.

Be honest
Honesty is a major component toward developing moral character. Do not use deception to make an easy sale — be true to yourself.
