After working in the corporate world as a marketing manager, I joined AIA as a financial services consultant in April 2000, and subsequently worked my way up to my current role as Executive Director at AIA FA. Being in this career for more than 2 decades now, it’s helped me truly understand the importance and the need for everyone to do financial planning. I’m a strong advocator and believer in providing sound financial planning to my clients.

A career that builds character
Financial advisory is definitely not an easy career, and it takes a lot of courage and determination for one to succeed and sustain in the long term. I find the financial advisory industry to be a good training ground for character-building through the challenges faced and experiences gained, while also helping clients fulfil their financial goals.

Embrace change
As financial consultants, we need to constantly upgrade ourselves to stay relevant with the times as they impact our clients’ everchanging needs as well. The industry is constantly undergoing changes and challenges. We need to keep abreast with the latest developments around the world and adapt to these changes.

Challenge yourself
