My previous career as a marketing executive in an MNC has taught me the essential skills of personal branding, customer care and financial numbers analysis to succeed as a financial consultant. After 13 years with AIA, I have achieved awards like the Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards in 2016 and 2018 and achieved 12th consecutive year as a member of AIA Centurion Club since 2009.

On top of that, I have been awarded the titles as Personal Wealth Manager and Senior Personal Wealth Manager of AIA High Net Worth Prestige Club in 2019 and 2020 respectively. In 2019, I was inducted as a prestigious Million Dollar Round Table Life and Qualifying member.

You need more than the right skills to succeed in the industry.

Competency is important, but it is also crucial to have the right mindset and attitudes. You need to have the desire to learn, to evolve, to serve in order to stay in this business for the long term.

More can be done in public awareness of financial planning.

My biggest goal is to contribute back to society by sharing on the importance of early planning for one’s retirement. Public awareness needs to be raised, and it is my dream that all my clients to be able to retire comfortably, confidently and cheerfully.
