I first learnt about the financial services industry when I was a student in Nanyang Technological University majoring in Computer Science, where I decided to join as a student advisor in 2016, and eventually grew to love my job.

Driven by the boundless opportunities the field offers, I have gone on to win my first International Dragon Award 2020 – Bronze Dragon Award and a membership for the AIA Financial Advisers Prestige Platinum Club 2020 in my 4-year career thus far.

As financial consultants, we should always practise active listening, so that we can better understand our clients’ concerns and better address their needs with our solutions. We are the bridge that translates their human needs to solutions using our technical expertise in the subject.

 

Strive to make lives better.

Making positive impacts to the lives around us is the cornerstone of our career and is the reason why many of us do what we do even though it is not the easiest career. My biggest goal is to simply make the lives of my fellow men better.

 

We solve problems.

Sometimes the job requires us to be fast and quick problem solvers, and we do that with integrity, competence and compassion. I used to be a swimming coach before joining the industry, and coupled with the problem solving skills I learnt from school, I believe these experiences contributed to who I am today.
