SNG PEI LING ESLYN

I am currently a year 3 student at NTU, majoring in communication studies with a second major in business. I started exploring the financial advisory industry after chancing upon an opportunity over a volleyball game in my university hall. After visiting the office and having meaningful conversations with the seniors at AAG, I decided that this is where I want to be.

A career with personal development
I chose this career for the mentorship, culture and environment. As a young girl in school, I wanted more than what grades could offer. But from where I was to where I wanted to be, I realised I needed more knowledge, connection and capital. Over here in AAG, I found like-minded individuals who are more driven, more competent and more successful than I am. The influence of the culture and environment propels me forward and makes me believe that I can be something more.

Working towards a better future
What keeps me motivated in this business is witnessing the unity of the people around me; the unity that everyone is working towards a better future for our loved ones.

Have tenacity
Rome wasn’t built in a day, and nobody is born knowing everything that they need to know. Hence, the tenacity to pick yourself up and learn from past failures is key; the ability to channel disappointment into motivation and scale from peak to peak. This translates to whatever we want to do in life, in whichever profession.
