I joined the financial advisory industry in August 2021, bringing with me a decade of entrepreneurial experience from running a successful events and photography company.

My journey into finance was deeply personal, rooted in a family crisis that revealed the critical importance of financial preparedness. Growing up, my father instilled the principles of financial literacy and discipline in me, but it wasn’t until he suffered a stroke and was hospitalised for nearly two months that I truly understood the value of being properly insured.

Despite the emotional turmoil, we didn’t have to worry about medical bills, thanks to his foresight in coverage. This experience transformed my perspective and led me to devote my career to helping others avoid such financial distress.

What motivates me every day is the gratitude and relief I see in my clients’ eyes. There’s a saying I hold dear: “Clients don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” This philosophy has shaped my approach, ensuring every piece of advice I give is heartfelt and sincere, treating my clients with the same care as I would family members. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is being seen as the “go-to” person within my circle for advice on protection and financial growth.

The flexibility of this career has also been a blessing, particularly as a new father. It allows me to be present for my daughter, supporting her both emotionally and financially, which drives me to succeed further in my professional life.

Persistence is crucial in this profession. There are challenges, such as difficult-to-reach clients, but my conviction in the value of what I’m doing pushes me to persevere. My mantra, “I will not recommend anything to clients that I would not recommend to my mother,” guides my practice. I share personal stories, like my father’s health scare, to build trust and convey the genuine benefits of sound financial planning.
