A financial consultant for almost 2 years now, I was a business and communications student venturing into marketing but was introduced to the financial advisory industry by my IO, PK.
Spreading the knowledge
I never planned to become a financial consultant. Rather, it was to develop financial literacy for myself, and later move on to a more stable desk job while I do my financial planning. However, I fell in love with every aspect of the job, and how I would be able to impact the lives of the people around me by sharing this knowledge, and that is what made me stay.
Changing lives
I stay motivated as a financial consultant knowing that the work that I do will change at least 1 person’s life at a time, and that is what gives me career satisfaction.
The hardest step is the first step
If you are genuine in helping others, and want something more for yourself rather than a mundane life, this is the career for you. If you are hesitating, my advice is to just do it because the hardest step is always the first step. You never know how much better life can get after this first step.
