I come from a family of 6, including 3 sisters. Both of my parents earned decent wages and always did their best to provide for us. However, something happened 7 years ago that made me realise the importance of having insurance. My youngest sister was diagnosed with a brain condition when she was 12 years old and she had no insurance coverage then. We consulted multiple doctors and specialists only to find out that surgery would cost about $100,000 with no certainty of success. I knew that I had to do better. Being the only son in the family, I thought that if anything were to happen to my sister, I should be able to take care of her long after my parents aren’t around. I was only 21 then, still taking my diploma in EEE with no insurance knowledge. While serving in the army, I enrolled myself on an entrepreneurship platform comprising a panel of serial entrepreneurs. I stayed there for about 2 years, where I learnt the principle of always paying attention to your customers’ needs, and focusing on their interests. In 2018, a friend of mine introduced me to the financial advisory industry. His mentor, Isaac Pung, spoke to me about AAG and its people. He shared with me how AAG focuses on service — servicing the clients’ needs, and focusing on their interests. It resonated strongly with me, and I’ve been here ever since.

Seek inspiration from your clients.
The trust and support from my clients inspire me to continue to be better and do better. I want to be able to reciprocate their trust in kind and continue providing value to others.

The future is unexpected.
I always share that my parents were a good example of the need for financial planning. We lived decently but failed to plan for the future or the unexpected. When the unexpected happened, it brought huge amounts of emotional and mental stress. These are things that I would never want the people around me to experience, and that is why I always highlight and emphasise the importance of good budgeting and spending habits. Having those 2 things really goes a long way.

Create a good impact in others’ lives.
To be in this industry, you need to have a heart that is willing to learn and have the interest to share the knowledge you’ve gained. Be humble, be kind, and be genuine. Most importantly, give it your all!

Daniel is a trustworthy advisor and a great friend. I can put my mind at ease when he manages my wife’s and my portfolios and finances as we know that we can always count on him to deliver and to always be there when needed.

As we all know budgeting and money is a very sensitive issue to many individuals, but I am touched and impressed by how dedicated and transparent Daniel is when dealing with such sensitive topics. How Daniel breaks down each individual aspects of the financial product and tools also shows his experience, expertise and knowledge in the field.

Going the extra mile to even understand the finer details of the competitors’ products, being objective and true to the client’s financial goal is what sets Daniel apart from other advisors.

I have never regretted to have met Daniel and have him advised for my family, his commitment and empathy was the reason why we have decided to place our trust on him.

Daniel is unlike other financial advisors I know. No hard sells, no sales talk. Instead, he listens to you to understand what your needs are, and proposes the right policies, plans and approaches to suit your objectives. He is attentive, meticulous and service oriented, and goes out of his way to make sure you are well taken care of. More importantly, he really cares about your well-being. I will not hesitate to recommend Daniel to anyone in need of a financial assistant, and look forward to working with him in the many years to come.

Daniel is a charismatic and helpful gentleman. He takes his time to understand his client’s needs and requirements, and objectively works together with his clients to achieve it. Daniel also adds in a large amount of compassion and personal touch. He constantly gives calls and messages his client’s to ensure on their well being. Daniel showcases great work ethics and is always updated and strives to deliver key information and his opinions to others. However the greatest thing about Daniel as an individual, is his aim to give back to the community. In my many conversations with him, I have always seen him working towards giving back, either on a personal or community level.
