I joined this career as a financial consultant at the age of 25. I left my stable job as an operations executive, and took a leap of faith to join this career as I wanted to do something different and more meaningful. I believe we need to achieve something phenomenal in this lifetime, and that is what spurred me to make that decision.

The vision and culture in every organisation is the key to success. I am honoured to be in a company with a great mentor who has great qualities and strong leadership. His hallmark of ‘walk the talk’ built a culture of trust and accountability, which groomed many successful leaders and advisors. Everyone has aspirations whether it is for yourself or family, I am working towards my goals. I take pride in the value of my work and am committed to help my clients in their wealth management journey to achieve their life goals.

Our business is built around people, and I believe that every individual is a contribution to our purpose. As a leader, I aim to ‘model the way’ and lead by example, to inspire and influence.

When we bring out the best in others, we have an incredibly positive impact on the lives of the people we empower. My greatest goal is to deliver my promise to my consultants, impart my knowledge, groom and help them achieve their aspirations in this journey. I want to see my people succeed. This is what I have received from my mentors, and what I aim to deliver to my people.

Many people think that this industry requires a finance background. This is actually a people’s business. Communication is key, and it is important that we engage with our clients that allows them to trust you as their advisor. The industry has evolved over the years and as we move forward to the ‘new economy’, consultants must be equipped with deeper wealth management skills sets, including succession planning for both individuals and businesses.

Success is predetermined by your level of effort.

Success is possessing the capability for self-determination. Your level of success is predetermined by your level of effort. You must have the passion, hunger and motivation to achieve something remarkable. Take the leap of faith, believe in yourself and write your own success story!
