I see my leaders and mentors as my greatest inspiration in this line of work, and I’m thankful to have received ample guidance from them throughout my journey as a financial consultant. The learning curve can be steep at times, and finding the right people to guide you on your path is crucial to your success.

Build rapport using your soft skills.

In this industry, being able to interact with different groups of people in life will teach you important soft skills that help engage and build rapport with your prospects. With the communication skills I’ve gained over the last few years, I’m better equipped to impart financial planning knowledge to everyone I know, and make an impact in their lives!

Stay hopeful.

Building strong friendships takes time. It’s important for new financial consultants to stay hopeful and stick to their course, as this career is a marathon, not a sprint. Keep serving with your heart and you will eventually see what awaits at the end of the rainbow!
