I joined AAG’s internship programme when I was studying in Nanyang Technological University, and found it to be an enjoyable experience. From this internship, I learnt a lot about the financial advisory industry and decided to join my current team right after graduation.

I see the true value of having insurance, and how insurance helps people a lot when met with unfortunate situations. Being in this business for 8 years now, I believe we need to manage our investment portfolio well and have different asset classes to diversify our risk. Sometimes, it’s not just about seeking the ultimate investment return.

Staying well-protected is crucial.

My greatest goal as a financial consultant is not to reap the most commissions but to ensure my clients are well-covered according to their life stage and financial needs. As every individual is different, I always try to understand the financial goals of each of my clients, so that I can build the right solution for them to keep them well covered through life.

Stand in your clients’ shoes.

We have to look at things from our clients’ perspective and understand that the solutions we provide are not for our good only. Always remember that we are supposed to be there to help our clients when they are experiencing any dire or critical situations, and we should conduct ourselves with integrity and diligence to carry out our responsibilities as financial consultants.
